A newly introduced Bill (no. 14680-7) seeks to increase fines up to 70 thousand rubles (approx. EUR 1,000) for employers who interfere with inspectors, including labor inspectors (administrative offense under art. 19.4.1 of the administrative code of the Russian federation). For example, the inspector cannot complete the inspection, because he cannot enter the company’s territory or the company does not provide the documents for the inspector. There are also some positive points in the bill. Currently, if the director is involved in committing multiple administrative offenses within the same year heshe may be disqualified for a period of 6-12 months. If the bill is adopted, only an administrative fine would be imposed.
