The Supreme Court has ruled that there is no cause for issuing a guideline decision regarding the reconsideration of multiple individual dismissals as a collective dismissal. The refusal to issue such a guideline decision was based on the fact that the local Court that asked the Supreme Court for the judicial interpretation was not clear and specific in its request. Such a guideline decision would be extremely important for specific cases when individual employment contracts end at dates different than the ones foreseen due to specific suspension causes and additional employees are terminated in the subsequent period, adding to the number of terminated contracts over the limit for collective dismissals. The current ruling of the Supreme Court is important for future questions on this matter that could be addressed by lower Courts.
