A Government Report takes into consideration three scenarios and their possible outcome and offers some interesting conclusions. For instance, if the minimum wage was raised by more than 12%, the number of employees that will receive minimum wage will grow exponentially. Furthermore, a higher minimum wage does not lead to a higher level of productivity. Usually, minimum wage adjustments take place in January and/or July, but since the negotiations on the actual level of the minimum wage for 2017 are expected to be lengthy, the new minimum wage will probably not be introduced in January 2017.
