New legal provisions on signing Collective Labour Agreements at the Company level, with Union Federation representatives at the sector level, have, in cases where the Company has no representative Union and one or more of its Unions are affiliated to a representative Union Federation been adopted, experienced a noticeable increase in the number of claims for establishing Union Federations as being representative of their sectors. Small sectors that previously did not have any representative Union Federations, now have two or more such Federations and small unions affiliated to the representative Federations can be part of the Collective Agreement negotiation process.
