The Romanian Government has determined the maximum number of new foreign workers that can be accepted to work in Romania in 2016. By foreign workers the Romanian legislation understands workers outside the EU and the EEA. For 2016, a maximum of 5.500 new foreign workers can receive a work permit, with a limit of 3500 permanent work permits being issued and 700 work permits being reserved for dispatched workers.
