On April 28, 2014, the Acts of February 28, 2014 and of March 28, 2014 and the Royal Decree of April 10, 2014, amending the Belgium legislation with regard to the well-being of workers, were published in the Belgian Official Gazette.
The legislator now aims to protect workers not only against acts of violence, moral or sexual harassment, but also against other health risks such as stress, burn-out and conflicts at work.
This new concept revolves around two key steps, namely:
- the risk analysis – prevention measures
- the request for psychosocial intervention
This contribution by Van Olmen & Wynant highlights the main changes.
