For the purposes of strengthening the internal market and promoting free movement of professionals, while ensuring a more efficient and transparent recognition of professional qualifications, a European professional card has been created. That card will be useful to facilitate temporary mobility and recognition under the automatic recognition system, as well as to promote a simplified recognition process under the general system. Where there are significant differences between the professional activity exercised in the Member State of origin and that which is regulated in the host Member State, partial access to a profession may be granted, subject to completion of the required full education and training program (Law n.º 26/2017).
