Professional valorisation is intended to reinforce employee skills through professional training in terms of needs identified by the services, with a view to a rapid integration into a new post. The workers in professional valorisation management include the follow-up of the reorganization and rationalization proceedings, as well training actions within the framework of the professional valorisation plans and the consequent integration of the workers into new job positions to restart rendering work. As a managing entity responsible for professional valorisation, the General Directorate for the Qualification of Public Employees assumes the responsibility of public employer, namely ensuring the payment of salaries during the professional valuation process (Law n.º 25/2017).
