Firstly, the changes entail that both contracted workers and permanent employees are subject to whistle-blowing protection, whereas it previously concerned only the latter. Secondly, public authorities may be imposed a duty of confidentiality concerning an employee’s name, if he or she is blowing the whistle to said authority. Thirdly, enterprises must have internal whistle-blowing procedures in writing that fulfil statutory minimum requirements. This requires all enterprises with five or more employees to update their existing internal regulations in accordance with the new changes.
