Through Court Ruling no. 18727/2016, the Court of Cassation has stated that by obliging employees to sign part-time employment agreements in return for full-time performance, threatening that otherwise they would not be hired, the employer committed the crime of “extortion” under article 629 of the Italian Crime Code.
