A series of Tweets related to mandatory PCR testing and remote working, in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, have been issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Support, Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis & Disasters Committee, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). The following Tweets have been issued recently:
- 6 February 2021: a Tweet was issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Support requiring Abu Dhabi government and semi government to reduce attendance to 30%.
- 9 March 2021: a Tweet was issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Support requiring Abu Dhabi government and semi-government employees who have been vaccinated to take monthly PCR tests. Unvaccinated employees to continue to take PCR tests every 7 days.
- 22 March 2021: a Tweet was issued by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis & Disasters Committee mandating free compulsory PCR tests every two weeks for all private sector employees in vital sectors and service industries.
- 22 March 2021: a Tweet was issued by the MoHRE requiring unvaccinated employees in hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, laundries, beauty salons, and hair-dressers to take a PCR test once every 14 days.
