Canada sets Gender Diversity Targets for Top Leadership Positions in Public and Private Sectors

The Government of Ontario announced gender diversity targets for top leadership positions at provincial agencies and other government organizations. The Government has set a target that by 2019, at least 40 per cent of all appointments to provincial boards and agencies will be women. The Government is encouraging businesses to set a target of appointing women to make up 30 per cent of the employer’s boards of directors by the end of 2017.
