UK: New toolkit on gender pay reporting

The Government Equalities Office has published a new toolkit, which has a gender pay gap action list with recommendations for employers on how to close gender pay gaps, including that they should:

  • advertise all jobs as flexible by default, from day 1, unless there are valid business reasons not to
  • do more to promote the take up of family-related entitlements such as shared parental leave
  • introduce annual equal pay audits to check for gender bias
